I am running a scenario where I need to post inbound delivery for Goods which is posted through IDOC from Vendor using Idoc message type DESADV.
At the time of Inbound delivery creation, I need the inbound delivery item to be packed with an external HU number automatically when the idoc is posted.
I am passing all the external HU details in the segment E1EDL37 (HU Header) and E1EDL44 1 (HU item) of the basic type Delivery05 of message type DESADV. But Still when the Idoc is posted no Handling units are getting created.
I have the packing instructions setup for the material. When I manually go in to the IBD and click on the generate automatic packing button, the HU is getting created successfully but with internal HU number.
In SPRO config for delivery type definition, I tried checking the Automatic packing check box. When I posted IDOC after that the IBD is posting with HU but with Internal number range.
But my requirement is to use the external HU details from the IDOC for automatic packing.
Kindly suggest if this solution is possible in Standard SAP. Also please suggest if any enhancement is required to achieve this functionality.
